The Bosniak-American Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina on November 20, 2009 organized on Capitol Hill the roundtable discussion about Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) titled; “Bosnia: A Way Forward.” Ambassador Douglas Davidson; Senior State Department Advisor to the U.S. Helsinki Commission, and Mr. Sebastian Graefe; Program Director for Foreign and Security Policy and Transatlantic Issues at the Heinrich Boell Foundation North American, were the main panelists. Ms. Elmina Kulasic, BAACBH Executive Director, was the moderator at the event.
Ambassador Davidson shared his perspective on the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina by expressing the need to understand why a constitutional reform is needed in terms of European Union integration and NATO membership. Mr. Graefe emphasized the role of the civil society and the importance of its influence on the political process.
