On 22 May 2007, the Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Mustafa ef. Ceric, visited the Bosniak American Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina. BAACBH representatives informed Dr. Ceric of recent and current BAACBH activities. The Grand Mufti expressed his interest in BAACBH projects and voiced his support for ongoing activities. The Grand Mufti emphasized the crucial role of the United States in the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. Dr. Ceric was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Azra Ceric.

The Grand Mufti's visit to Washington, D.C. also included a lecture at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, meetings with Congressmen Chris Smith and Russ Carnahan (co-sponsors of the Congressional Bosnian Caucus), a meeting with Archbishop Wurel, Cardinal Adam Maida and Cardinal McCarric, as well as a speech at Catholic University.
