Together with its partner, the Heinrich Boell Foundation, and a longstanding friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Honorable Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, the Bosniak-American Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 30th 2008 organized on Capitol Hill the final remarks of Her Excellency Dr. Bisera Turkovic, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United States of America. The event emphasized Ambassador Turkovic’s dedication to her homeland, her achievements and her contribution to the bilateral relationship between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America.

Ambassador Turkovic shared her perspective on the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina by emphasizing the importance of Bosnia’s rich multi-ethnic and diverse history. She further expressed the need to maintain the bilateral relationship between Bosnia and the United States, the importance of Bosnia’s NATO and EU membership, as well as continued United States support for Bosnia’s future.
