Welcoming Reception for His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Mitar Kujundzic

The Bosniak-American Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina together with a longstanding friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Honorable Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, on July 9, 2009 organized on Capitol Hill the “Welcoming Reception for His Excellency Mr. Mitar Kujundzic,” the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United States of America. Ambassador Mr. Kujundzic was joined by Congressman Russ Carnanahn (D-MO), the Co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on Bosnia.

Ambassador Kujundzic shared his perspective on the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina by expressing the need to maintain the bilateral relationship between Bosnia and the United States, the importance of Bosnia’s NATO and EU membership, as well as continued United States support for Bosnia’s stable future.

Congressman Russ Carnahan expressed his sincere support for democratic reforms which will enable Bosnia and Herzegovina to fulfill the requirements necessary for EU integration and NATO membership.
