ACBH Appoints New Board Members

November 21, 2017 – Washington, D.C. – The Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina (ACBH) is pleased to announce the appointment of new members to the organization’s Board of Directors effective November 21, 2017. Adnan Hadrovic will serve as ACBH’s new Chairman of the Board of Directors with the departure of Mirzeta Hadzikadic who has served as the President of the Board of Directors since 2013.  The other outgoing board members are: Dr. Kenan Arnautovic, Mr. Vehid Deumic, Dr. Sarah Wagner, Mr. Benjamin Tikvina, Dr. Amer Catovic and Ms. Negra Husikic.

“ACBH’s decade long advocacy efforts on behalf of the Bosnian American community have paved the way for our diaspora and have given us a seat at the table in Washington D.C. The previous leaders of ACBH have ensured the organization’s success and ability to effectively realize its mission and drive change. I look forward to working with the new Board and staff on raising impact and building on ACBH’s previous achievements to the benefit of both Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the United States,” stated the newly elected Chairman, Mr. Hadrovic.

ACBH welcomes Mr. Nedim Music as the new Vice Chairman along with Ms. Edina Skaljic as the new Treasurer, Ms. Elmina Kulasic as the Director of European Operations and Ms. Adisada Dudic Hoque, Esq. as the new Legal Adviser. The newly appointed members represent Bosnian American communities across the United States and have dedicated themselves to ACBH’s mission and look forward to building on the work of their predecessors.

Together we marked a major milestone – ACBH’s tenth anniversary – with an amazing gala celebration. It was a great recognition for BiH and ACBH! Thank you to all who made it possible. Together, we are stronger,” stated outgoing ACBH President, Ms. Mirzeta Hadzikadic who will be joining the ACBH Honorary Board.

During this process of transition towards a new Board of Directors, ACBH is thankful for the hard work, dedication and long lasting contributions made by the retiring members: Ms.Mirzeta Hadzikadic, Dr. Kenan Arnautovic, Mr. Vehid Deumic, Dr. Sarah Wagner, Dr. Amer Catovic, Mr. Benjamin Tikvina and Ms. Negra Husikic. ACBH looks forward to continuing to be the leading voice for Bosnian Americans in Washington, D.C. and advocating for a united, multi-ethnic and democratic Bosnia and Herzegovina.
