ACBH Attends AJC’s Annual Thanksgiving Diversity Luncheon

On November 19, 2012, ACBH attended the American Jewish Committee's (AJC) Annual Thanksgiving Diversity Luncheon. The AJC organizes a Thanksgiving luncheon each year to honor and celebrate their many partners from Washington's diverse ethnic and religious communities. ACBH Executive Director, Ms. Ajla Delkic represented the Bosnian American community at the luncheon and looks forward to possible future collaborations with the AJC.

The featured speaker at the luncheon was Mr. Wade Henderson, President and CEO of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. The Leadership Conference is the nation's premier coalition that works to protect the civil and human rights of all persons in the United States. Through advocacy and outreach to targeted constituencies, the Leadership Conference works toward the goal of a more open and just society. Mr. Henderson spoke about how all of our communities need to continue to work together to make the world a better place and that we need to continue celebrating the differences that make us a stronger nation.
