Member of Bosnian Presidency Dr. Haris Silajdzic visited BAACBH

During his week-long trip to Washington, DC, Dr. Haris Silajdzic also visited the Bosniak American Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BAACBH) and met with its board of directors. Topics discussed include Bosnia and Herzegovina's current internal and foreign affairs issues as well as ways to overcome the present circumstances in the country. During a dinner with the board of directors, Dr. Silajdzic expressed strong support for the activities of BAACBH, and said he hoped its effective promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the United States would continue. He was particularly hopeful about the growth and strengthening of the newly formed Congressional Bosnian Caucus in the US Congress.

The Congressional Bosnian Caucus, currently made up of 12 members, is the result of the active engagement of the Bosniak American Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina as a non-governmental and non-profit organization representing the interests of Bosnian Americans and Bosnia and Herzegovina in general in Washington. The Caucus is growing day by day, which clearly shows how involved the Bosnian-Herzegovinian diaspora has been in this process.
